This book is powerful and useful because of the knowledge it offers. Ray Merriman offers a well written and clear explanation of his thinking, analysis and results. Ray's research results offer the short term trader information about statistically significant market movement based on the positions of the Sun and the Moon in various zodiacal sign combinations. Ray has done a thorough study and analysis of Solar and Lunar sign combinations as they have affected the Dow-Jones, NASDAQ and Nikkei indices over many years. Ray looked for and identifies price reversals of four percent or more during about sixty years of DJIA market movement. The NASDAQ and Nikkei indices having less history were examined for about thirty years. Ray has clearly and thoroughly documented which Sun and Moon combinations for these indices show strong price reversals, which show moderate reactions, and which show average reactions.

The advantage to this book is that any person can use this information as added input to set their trading strategies. Both strong and weak Sun and Moon combinations are given. For example, if the Sun is in Gemini, and the Moon is in Virgo -- then the reader can see the historical effects of this Sun and Moon combination on generating short term reversals in any of the three named markets. But there is more to this book too, as Ray also examines the impact of the positions of Mercury and Venus, etc., along with the various Sun and Moon combinations.
